The group is kidnapping people, harvesting resources, forcibly baptising random folk and a lot more besides. The Cult has prophesied the end of the world and with that as an excuse, is terrorising Hope County. Far Cry 5 is set in Hope County, Minnesota where you and your Redneck friends slug it out with a religious cult that, rather unimaginatively, calls itself ‘The Cult’.
